Our Rising Star

We want to first THANK all the family and friends who have contributed to Mylani's fundraising efforts over the last few weeks. With your help, Mylani is so much closer to attending the talent competition in Dallas, TX June 25-28th.

What is this talent competition?
It is a 4-day event where kids from age 4 to adult compete in acting, singing, dancing, and modeling competitions. Mylani will be in the 8 to 14 year old group. To prepare for this event, Mylani has been going to class 6 hours a month to learn and fine tune her skills. In addition, she practices every night to better prepare for the 9 events she will be competing in. There's a total of 11 events so we are so proud of her for dedicating herself to this and working hard at improving her performance skills. We are amazed at her progress so far!

Fundraising Update
To date, Mylani has secured 93% of the $4000 goal through pledges BUT only 75% of donations has been received. She has till March 31st to raise the remaining amount and submit payment. If you would like to contribute, please send me an email (diempnguyen@hotmail.com) with your pledge amount and I'll send you instructions for submitting payment. At this point, donations of any amount would be extremely helpful.

We are so proud of Mylani for pursuing her passion and working hard at raising the funds so that she can go. We'll keep you posted on how she does at the competition.

(One of the fundraisers we've done is baking cookies and selling to co-workers, school friends, and neighbors in OK. Mylani is quite a salesperson!)
